The Koenigsegg CCX is a roadster from original work of Swedish giant auto manufacturer Koenigsegg. Since the body style is lower to the ground, this coupe roadster aimed indeed for competition or race car. New 2011 Koenigsegg Agera R

This year at the Geneva Motor show Koenigsegg is presenting the brand new Agera R – Quicker than lightning!

 

Koenigsegg Agera R -

The Agera R on the Koenigsegg show stand – production car # 83 – is inspired by the legendary Speed Racer theme, as specified by the owner of the car. Speed Racers main colour is white – so is snow. Equipped with special Michelin tires and a custom made Thule Roof Box – Speed Racer is ready to attack the ski resorts!

Koenigsegg CCX

The Koenigsegg CCX in essence is an updated version of the successful CC/CCR models. The main aim of developing this car, according to Swedish auto maker Koenigsegg, is to allow their company to penetrate the world market, particularly the United States. The CCX, which first appeared during the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, is so named because this is an acronym that stands for Competition Coupe X, with the X marking the 10 years since the first CC car was developed in 1996.But the X could have stood for another word: extreme.

So what are the modifications made for the CCX? It is essentially the CCR with a lot of modifications made. The front bumper was made to comply with low speed collisions rules, and to be able to comply with rear impact rules, the body was lengthened by 88 millimeters. Additional headroom of 2 inches is also incorporated in order to fit larger people in the car. And perhaps most importantly, Koenigsegg has designed a new engine in order to meet emissions standards and to make it capable of running on octane 91 fuel.

Koenigsegg CCXR

Koenigsegg: The Koenigsegg CCXR is to deliver superior performance – on the track, in a straight line and on country roads – and to do so in style and comfort, no other supercar can match the Koenigsegg CCXR in terms of power-to-weight ratio, aerodynamic balance, downforce and chassis stiffness, with a remapped, 4.8 litre twin-supercharged Koenigsegg engine, and have been track-tuned by the inclusion of modified shock absorbers, stiffer springs and anti-roll bars, reset dampers and a lowered chassis.

Downforce has been enhanced by the addition of an optimised rear wing, front winglets, a larger front splitter and nolder, all of which have been designed to create as much downforce as possible. In total the Koenigsegg CCXR produces over 350 kg of downforce at 250 km/h. The aerodynamics have been verified and optimized, both in CFD and during live testing on the Koenigsegg test track in Sweden and on various proving grounds in Europe.
